Welcome to Keston Village Hall

located in the picturesque and tranquil village of Keston in Kent.

The Main Hall

The Main Hall (27ft x 55ft (8.3m x 16.8m)) is a large bright space with wooden sprung flooring marked out for badminton. At one end is a raised stage of 65 sqm, perfect for amateur dramatics, with a manual curtain with stage lighting plugs. At the other end is a store room (adjacent to the kitchen) for chairs which can be used as a bar when empty.

Large Kitchen

The kitchen is accessed from the main hall and has an abundance of preparation space. Its equipment includes a double oven (electric) with a 5 ring gas hob, a fridge, microwave, hot water urn, 2 kettles, a number of teapots and a hostess warming trolley. In addition and particularly for professional caterers there is a Blue Seal electric convection oven to a 4 x 1/1 GN capacity.

Jubilee Room

The Jubilee Room can be accessed by its own staircase. Located under the stage area, the room is carpeted and is 20ft x 22ft (6.3m x 6.9m) and is ideal for smaller meetings and activities. It has its own toilets and small kitchen which provides counter top electric oven, a fridge, microwave and two electric kettles. It is accessible via its own entrance.

At one end is a raised stage of 65 sqm, not only perfect for dramatic productions but also for a band or DJ for your party. The hall will cater for 130 people for banqueting and theatre style seating and 170 for dancing. This hall is accessed via a foyer (which has a newly-built mobility ramp) inside the main entrance off which one will find the ladies’, gentlemen’s and disabled toilets.

It provides an area of c. 43 sqm (6.3m x 6.9m) and is ideal for smaller meetings and activities. It has its own toilets and small kitchen which provides a counter top electric oven, a fridge, microwave and two electric kettles. Cups, saucers and small plates are also provided.

Yoga is a practical aid, not a religion. Yoga is an ancient art based on a harmonizing system of development for the body, mind, and spirit. The continued practice of yoga will lead you to a sense of peace and well-being, and also a feeling of being at one with their environment. The practice of yoga makes the body strong and flexible, it also improves the functioning of the respiratory, circulatory, digestive, and hormonal systems. Yoga brings about emotional stability and clarity of mind.

Thursday evening – Yoga: all ages and levels welcome (Please ring in advance to ensure space)

Chris Giles Photography

Chris Giles Photography

My name is Chris and I’m a Photographer, Artist and Digital Creative. To me, your wedding is all about the ‘lovely love’: the hand on the shoulder, the warm embrace, the wind in the trees and the years of love between you both that have led you to this moment of lifelong commitment. When I shoot a wedding, it’s these moments that I want to capture.

Happy couples that I’ve worked with have described the images that I deliver as original, cool and creative. You can be sure that your images will be timeless and long lasting – but I’m also not afraid to push boundaries or try new things.

Special mention goes to Ian from Disco Fever for bringing the smoke machine and amazing DJ skills http://www.discofever.co.uk

Dean Govier Photographer

Someone once told me that anyone can take a photograph, which is true, but taking good photographs is more difficult. Taking excellent, professional photographs in the hectic environment of a wedding celebration is quite another thing.

Do I have a style? Maybe, maybe not. I’m an easy going guy and somewhat relaxed and informal, hopefully you’re the same.
